  CAMPGROUND POLICY  

TO OUR GUESTS

As campers, and our guests, we want you to have the BEST time during your stay!  We strive to provide fun activities, facilities and events to keep you, our campers, happy and entertained during your stay. In return, we ask that you please think of this campground as your "second home" and abide by our campground safety rules so the fun can continue for years to come!  If you have questions or concerns regarding the campground, we ask that you please come to us directly so we can work to resolve the issue.  Thank you for camping with us!

CAMPGROUND SAFETY RULES
  • SPEED LIMIT IS 5 MPH FOR ALL VEHICLES & GOLF CARTS

  • Must be 16 years old with a drivers license to drive golf carts. If caught driving underage, your cart must be taken home for the remainder of the year.

  • Riders on golf carts must be seated at all times

  • All Campers must check in at Campstore/Office

  • No rainchecks or refunds for the weather

  • Quiet hours:  12:00am (midnight) to 7:00am

  • Check in: 2:00pm  Check out: 1:00pm

  • We are not responsible for accidents per ORC 3729.15

  • We are not responsible for theft or loss of property

  • Swimbands are required for everyone in beach & swimming areas

  • All visitors must pay to swim and/or stay the night

  • Swim at your own risk

  • NO SMOKING in the pool area or inside buildings

  • For open swimmers: Pond & pools close at 8:00pm

  • For campers: Pond closes at 8:00pm, Pools close at 10:00pm

  • No bicycles out after dark

  • No ATV's, motorbikes or 4-wheelers 

  • Pets must be on a leash at all times and picked up after

  • No exotic pets or vicious dogs/animals

  • No pets or glass containers in the pool or pond areas

  • Do not leave campfires unattended

  • Fires must be contained in a fire ring

  • Please do not move fire rings

  • Please do not park vehicles in the grass

  • No Fireworks

  • No Firearms

  • No outside firewood

  • Common Areas: The common areas at Huggy Bear are intended for the use and enjoyment of every guest.  No guest may be excluded from any common area in the park unless the area has been reserved for a specific group or purpose with approval from management.  Reservation requests may be granted, or withheld, in managements sole discretion and must be submitted to management at least 48 hours in advance.  Park quiet hours also apply to all common areas and rental facilities.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Since we haven't quite figured out a way to control the weather just yet, there will be no rain checks or refunds for weather.  But, here are our cancellation policy details, should the need arise:

 

  • All reservations can be made 365 days in advance and require 100% payment at the time of booking.​

 

NON-HOLIDAY WEEKENDS

  • Cancellation 8 or more days prior to arrival date: $10 fee

  • Cancellation 3-7 days prior to arrival date: $10 fee, remaining balance will be held as *camp credit

  • Cancellation 0-2 days prior to arrival date: $10 fee plus 50% of reservation will be forfeited

HOLIDAY WEEKENDS

  • Cancellation 15 or more days prior to arrival date: $10 fee

  • Cancellation 8-14 days prior to arrival date: $10 fee plus 50% of reservation will be forfeited

  • Cancellation 0-7 days prior to arrival date: 100% of reservation will be forfeited​

  • No shows on holiday weekends will be charged for the full 3 day weekend.
